- It is recommended to acquire data for DTI analysis with a b-value between 800-1200 s/mm2
- for comparison of mean diffusivity (mean ADC), 3 orthogonal directions are sufficient
- for reconstruction of the diffusion tensor D, at least 6 directions + 1 b0 image are necessary
- for fiber tracking, it is recommended to use at least 20-30 directions, which are equally distributed.
